Welded 304 Stainless Steel 1750 RPM Enclosed Impeller
An Enclosed Impeller is a high-efficiency pump component where the vanes are shrouded on both sides by circular plates (known as shrouds or sidewalls). This enclosed design creates a series of discrete, separated flow channels that direct fluid with minimal turbulence and internal recirculation. This results in superior hydraulic efficiency, more stable performance across a range of pressures, and an ability to generate higher heads compared to open impeller designs of similar size, making it the preferred choice for demanding, continuous-duty applications.
The enclosed structure provides significant mechanical strength, making it ideal for handling clean or clear liquids at high speeds and pressures in services like boiler feed, high-pressure water supply, and hydrocarbon transfer. While less tolerant of solids and more complex to manufacture, its enclosed nature minimizes wear on the pump casing and maintains peak efficiency over a longer service life, delivering optimal performance and energy savings in critical, high-duty cycle systems.
